A Recognition for the 3rd version of the Clean Transportation Manual

Our Clean Transportation Manual, in its 3rd version, was recognized by the GiroZero project, for joining the actions that seek zero emissions, and also for actively participating in the progress towards the decarbonization of Automotive Cargo Transportation in Colombia (TAC, for its acronym in Spanish).

We are proud to be part of initiatives that promote a more sustainable future. Every day, our actions reflect our commitment to the environment, from the implementation of environmentally friendly practices to the creation of projects that optimize the use of resources. We firmly believe that sustainability is not just a goal, but a path that is built with daily effort. This recognition is proof that we are heading in the right direction.

December 2023

We were recognized with the GOLD category as the Sustainable Company of the Aburrá Valley, in the 5th version of PRES- (Business Recognition in Sustainability of the AMVA), for the implementation of good environmental and social practices and the contribution to the sustainable development of our region.

We were among 52 finalist companies, 96 nominated and more than 900 invited to participate in the PRES. This recognition highlights the good practices related to the reduction of emissions, energy efficiency, adequate use of water resources and incorporation of the circular economy to the strategic horizon in the productive sectors of the Valley.

At NOEL, each step towards sustainability is a celebration of our commitment to the planet and future generations.

We are the second best company to work for in the food sector in the CompuTrabajo Best Work Places 2021 awards, which this year had the participation of 1.6 million users.

The opinions were valued according to the criteria of: evaluations received in 2020; assessments made by people who are still part of the companies where they work or who collaborated until less than two years ago; companies with more than 60 evaluations received and that meet the criteria to enter the ranking.

Our Company was recognized in the CompuTrabajo Best WorkPlaces 2020 awards as one of the best companies to work for in the food category, in Colombia.
This award was made based on the ratings and votes of CompuTrabajo users, the leading employment portal in Latin America. Among the variables measured there were: work environment, career opportunities, salaries, benefits and leadership.

Our management to incorporate best practices in our value chain was reinforced in 1998, when we became part of BASC – Business Alliance for Secure Commerce, an organization that watches over best practices within the companies to prevent crimes in the process of transporting products to customers and consumers. Because of our commitment to strengthen these controls and be an example of integrity, we were recognized as pioneers and founders of this initiative in the region.

February 2018

Consistent with its philosophy of living in harmony, TOSH has been certified as a Carbon Neutral brand by the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC), becoming the first mass food brand in Colombia to achieve this important recognition of sustainable management.

The certification in Carbon Neutrality means that the brand achieves a balance between the amount of CO2 emitted during the manufacture of their products and the amount compensated.

December 2017

Through the external audit conducted by ICONTEC, NOEL renewed its certification for three more years, 2017 – 2020, as a family-friendly company in the B+ category, and as a Proactive Company, recognition proudly received from MásFamilia Foundation of Spain.
All of the above was possible because NOEL is committed to promoting work-life balance and self growth among all employees.

August 2016

At the closing of the 1st Colombian Business Congress – ANDI, held at the Cartagena Convention Center, the President of Grupo Nutresa Carlos Ignacio Gallego and the President of NOEL Alberto Hoyos Lopera, received the Order of Business Merit “José Gutiérrez Gómez” recognition, given by the President of the Republic Juan Manuel Santos Calderón and Dr. Bruce MacMaster, President of ANDI, on the occasion of its 100 years; this being the highest distinction of the Colombian private sector.

June 2016

In a formal ceremony, the Council of Medellín highlighted the work of Compañía de Galletas NOEL (NOEL Company) during their first 100 years of history, with the Order of Merit Don Juan del Corral, Gold Grade. The company’s contribution to the development of Medellin and Colombia was recognized, as well as their work to offer innovative and quality products designed to meet their consumers’ needs.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the National Planning Department, have qualified NOEL as a very innovative company. This distinction is granted by the National Government to stimulate investment in science and technology in companies, in exchange for tax benefits.
